During the early days of aviation, miss Moisant, sister of the famous John B. Moisant, pioneer aviatior, and aunt of Lt. Stanlie J. Moisant, set a standard for the ever growing legion of feminine aviation enthusiasts. She secured the second pilot license ever awarded to a woman in the United States, on Aug 13,1911, after only 32 minutes of flying instruction. It is interesting to note that no flying instructor ever accompanied Miss moisant aloft.
